How to use Teesheets
The board: what's open right now
The board is the live view: every open slot at every course Teesheets watches, checked roughly every 3–4 minutes around the clock. Group it by time of day or by course, and tap Book on any slot to go straight to the course’s own booking page — Teesheets never books on your behalf and never stands between you and the course.
Seeing only your area
- Region selector (top of the board): scopes what you browse to one area. It never changes your alerts.
- Filter: pick specific courses, counties, dates, times, or group size.
- Near me: sorts by distance from where you are right now — your location is used once, for this session only, and never saved.
Alerts: set it once, then forget it
Open the Alerts tab and create a rule: the courses, days, and time of day you’d play. From then on Teesheets watches the tee sheets for you and messages you the moment a matching spot opens — usually a cancellation someone else would have had to catch by refreshing. Each rule can be paused with its switch, edited any time, and set to notify you instantly or as part of a digest.
How alerts reach you
Settings → Delivery channels decides where messages go: Telegram, text (SMS), push notification, or email — any combination. Notifications (also in Settings) sets the pacing: instant per channel or a tidy digest, plus quiet hours so nothing buzzes at midnight. Setting a home location gives every course and slot a distance label and unlocks nearest-first sorting.
How notifications work
Set an alert and we watch the tee sheets for you — you get a message the moment a matching spot opens, either instantly or folded into your digest.
- On Android and desktop, alerts arrive right in your browser once you allow notifications — installing Teesheets just makes them tidier, in their own window.
- On iPhone, notifications only work once Teesheets is added to your home screen and opened from there (an Apple rule). Until then, we still reach you by text, email, or Telegram.
The first time you turn push on, the browser will ask permission — that is just us being allowed to ping you. Turn push on any time in Settings → Delivery channels. Turn it off just as easily — the same switch, or your device's notification settings.
Two more things worth knowing
- Refer friends: Settings → Refer friends has your personal link — signups through it are credited to you.
- Missing course? Search for it in any course picker and tap “Add it”. Teesheets checks whether it can watch that course automatically; most courses appear within minutes, the rest usually within a day.
